Alta & Baixa is a portuguese typographic cult magazine that pro- poses to reflect on all aspects of
typography, including its history, and whose contents are deliberately eclectic. Its name is
inspired by two historical areas of the city of Coimbra: the uptown and the downtown. Both in
physical and digital format, it explores this duality, challenging typographic rules without
breaking them and offering a mix of articles and reference materials.
